MY CAMERA IS JUST A SAVE BUTTON, FOR THE MIND’S EYE.
How did Will get into the world of dog shows, some ask?
Will was born into the family’s established kennel of Hounds and Gundogs, and he was educated within the canine world. He had some of the world’s top judges around him as he grew up and through them, he has naturally developed an excellent working knowledge of many breed standards.
Will enjoys his successes in the show ring and mainly handles the families American Cocker Spaniels these days, occasionally he can be caught exhibiting his long-haired dachshunds and miniature long-haired dachshunds though if your watching.
Will has in the past handled a few other breeds which include, Whippets, Irish Setters, English Pointers, Irish Red and White Setters, English Cocker Spaniel, Miniature Poodles, Old English Mastiffs to name a few.
His first-ever championship shows Best of Breed achieved when he handled Fredrik Nilsson‘s Pomeranian at Killarney while enjoying a working holiday on the Munster Circuit.
To the best of our knowledge; Will is still the only Dachshund (Breeder) Specialist Photographer in the world, and the only one on the Our Dogs Principal Photography team that is currently active in exhibiting or breeding dogs.
What did Will do before he became a Photographer?
Will previously worked his way up in the farming industry, and he became a head herdsman caring for dairy and beef cattle. During this time he bred Texel Sheep, for his pastime in those days he raced quad bikes. Once he was Page 3 of the Suzuki magazine promoting the LT-450.
